In February 2015, I gave a talk at Elmhurst College on producing and sharing digital portfolios in a Web2.0/3.0 world. This presentation was in Dr. Bridget O'Rourke's course .
To motivate these neophyte English students to get their asses in gear, I threw down the gauntlet. I challenged them to a friendly competition. I said, "Hey, if you work hard and show me what you produce by the end of the semester, I'll select a winner and produce a PowToon video or video resume for you. This work would probably end up costing a client $500. So, it is a big deal."
I hope they accept the challenge and wow my pants off. Well, only figuratively. They're English majors, I'm sure they understand. Good luck, you whippersnappers.
